| b. Heat Pipe
Solar Collector
Structure and Principle: The heat pipe is hollow with the
space inside evacuated, much the same as the solar tube.
Freeze Protection: Because the heat pipe is located within
the evacuated glass tube, brief overnight temperatures as
low as -20oC (14oF) will not cause the heat pipe to freeze.
⊙ High heat conduction coefficient:is 2000-5000 times of matal
materials.
⊙ High quantity of heat conduction:is 1000times od metal materials.
⊙ Low temperature difference:less than 4℃ difference in 2
meter long pipe.

c.U Pipe Solar Collector
Liquid (pure water or glycol ) in the U pipe heats up, and
the U pipe conducts thermal energy to the water inside the
storage tank through internal copper coils.
As the water temperature can be adjusted using an automatic
controller, user can get hot water all day long.

(2).Solar Waer Heater
a. Thermosiphon Solar System
Thermosiphon systems move household water or a heat-transfer
fluid through the system without pumps. The systems have the
advantage that electricity outage and electric pump breakdown
are not issues. This makes generally more reliable, easier
to maintain, and possibly longer lasting than active systems.
Thermosiphon systems are often less expensive than active
systems, but are also generally less efficient due to slower
water flow rates through the system

b. Closed-Loop Thermosiphon
System
Thermosiphon solar collectors provides mains pressure pre-heating
via a high efficiency copper coil heat exchanger located within
the solar collector tank. The way in which the Mains Pressure
solar collector heats water is the same as the Non pressure
solar collector. Rather than using the water in the tank directly,
as the Non pressure does, the type uses a 45 ~ 60m copper
coil

(3).Active-Loop Solar System
a.Open-Loop Solar Systems
An open loop system is for climates where there is no risk of
freezing.Recirculation freeze protection can be provided by
the Recirculation feature in the controller.An Open Loop Water
Heating System provides many advantages It is the simplest and
typically the least expensive active system to install. There
is no heat exchanger, which allows efficient heat transfer directly
to the water. The system Operates at standard line pressure.
It is simple to add capacity to the system if demand changes.
The system integrates easily with existing systems. When there
is not enough energy for sun, an electrical back up element
will be automatically switched on by controller.

b.Closed-Loop Solar System
Closed Loop Solar Heating Systems are suitable for single and
multiple solar heating Application systems, e.g. domestic solar
water heating, solar water heating hot tub, solar Swimming pool
heating or solar space heating systems. The Closed Loop Solar
Systems suitable for areas with questionable water quality and
all climate conditions. The Closed Solar Heating Systems are
the preferred option for extremely cold areas. When there is
not enough energy for sun, an electrical or gas back up element
will be automatically switched on by controller.

In this active,
closed-loop system, incoming potable water is routed to the
solar storage tank, but never into the collectors. A water
and antifreeze mixture circulates from the collectors through
a coil of pipe in the solar tank, and then is pumped back
through the collectors. The potable water is warmed by heat
transfer through contact with the pipe. In most climates,
a 50/50 propylene glycol and water mixture will keep collectors
from freezing. These systems require an expansion tank and
a few other auxiliary components for filling, venting, and
maintaining the system. A definite advantage to antifreeze
systems is that the collectors can be mounted anywhere. These
systems are pretty much the only choice in very cold climates.
